Meet our Early Learning Specialists
Joyce Lee
Joyce has been working in the field of early learning for 32 years as a community developer, infant toddler and preschool teacher, college instructor, trainer, assessor, and coach. Joyce started her work as an undergrad at UC Davis in communication and Education and continued graduate studies in Educational Psychology and Human Development. While being a part of the West Sacramento Home Run since the beginning, Joyce values the relationships that she has been able to build with diverse providers as well as the opportunity for community collaboration. Providers' creativity, dedication, and resilience inspire Joyce to continue to reflect, grow and connect professionally and personally.
Lana Magness
Lana has always been passionate about allowing EVERYONE to feel and experience a sense of belonging and inclusion. She began her career working with toddler and preschool age children and their families in private and public child care and preschool programs in classrooms and home settings. Additionally, she has worked in program administration in public programs. Away from her profession, she is lucky to spend time with her family and dog, and enjoys reading historical fiction, nonfiction, and memoirs related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
