Mandatory Qualifications
Interns must be 16 years old by June 10th, 2025. River City High School students must have completed at least one course in one of WUSD’s Career Technical Education Pathways. View qualifying courses here. Yolo High School and Washington Middle College students must have a recommendation form filled out by a teacher or counselor. All participants must have also participated in or watched a recording of an online informational session about the internships offered by the Home Run team.
Responsibilities
1. Assisting with outdoor programming and community outreach:
Helping set up and break down equipment and materials
Engaging with participants during activities
Supporting the lead facilitator in implementing planned activities
Ensuring safety protocols are followed
Documenting attendance and participation
Photographing activities
2. Supporting the annual fundraiser preparation:
Assisting with event planning and logistics
Helping with outreach to potential donors and sponsors
Creating promotional materials
Assembling fundraising packages or materials
About the Business
The Wonder Grove is an emerging outdoor children's museum. We currently operate in local parks, libraries, and community events as we work towards building a permanent location.

Able to be outdoors in all weather
Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs

Additional Information
When not working at our outdoor events, this internship is remote and will require a working phone and computer.
The work environment is outdoors in all weather.
