Mandatory Qualifications
Interns must be 16 years old by June 10th, 2025. River City High School students must have completed at least one course in one of WUSD’s Career Technical Education Pathways. View qualifying courses here. Yolo High School and Washington Middle College students must have a recommendation form filled out by a teacher or counselor. All participants must have also participated in or watched a recording of an online informational session about the internships offered by the Home Run team.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities will be assisting teachers with children's basic needs like feeding, diapering, and hygiene. Helping children with toileting, dressing, and personal care. Providing care and support to a child when upset. Help monitor the safety of children. Learn from other teachers on any childcare education practices for their future.
About the Business
Creative Kids is an in-home daycare provider for toddlers and babies. We are a play-based learning and structured blend home daycare. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for children so they can learn and grow to prepare them for future success.
Preferred Abilities
Be able to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff. Be able to have patience to be able to handle emotions, behaviors, and tantrums calmly. Someone that loves children and dependable. Respectable and professional with a positive attitude.

Special Project
I will have my Intern focus on my July Calendar to plan each day's summer curriculum and activities and to incorporate learning throughout the month.
Additional Information
This position is at my in home daycare open Monday- Thursday 7:30-530 and Fridays & 7:30-5 closed weekends and holidays.
My intern will be able to learn and work where all my teachers work, with the children inside my daycare area, outside for playtime and water play, they will learn cooking for breakfast and lunches and cleaning up after the meals. My intern will also learn basic cleaning of the daycare during downtimes and at the end of the days and weeks.
